Public pool facility / Lockhart, Texas

Lockhart Aquatic Facility

The pump note says 208 volts. The power supply says 480.

The pool project includes pumps that move water through the pools. Their motors and electrical supply must be selected together. Our review found different voltage instructions for five pumps.

Finding 01

The pump buyer and electrician are given different voltage instructions.

Note 1 in the pump table calls for 208-volt motors on five pumps. The electrical panel serving those pumps is marked 277/480 volts. The pump speed-controller table also lists 460-volt equipment.

Why it matters

The supplier and electrician need one confirmed requirement. Buying a motor based on the wrong note could mean changing equipment or electrical work later.

The question to ask

What motor voltage should be used for pumps P1A, P2A, P1B, P1C and P3C? Please update the pump note or electrical design to match the intended equipment.

What we know now: The difference between the 208 V instruction and the supply needs clarification. A 460 V motor or controller rating can be normal on a 480 V system; that small difference is not the finding.

Document status

The finding describes the documents checked on October 25. We have no confirmed designer answer, equipment purchase or cost saving. The next step is to confirm the intended voltage before ordering.

These examples are questions for the project team to check. They are not a design approval or a complete review of the project. Bidders should send questions only through the owner’s official question process.

Questions about this review

Are there pump voltage conflicts in the Lockhart Aquatic Facility bid drawings?

Mebbian’s reviewer-led check found a 208-volt pump note alongside a 480-volt electrical supply. The PL401 and E-501 excerpts show the requirements to clarify before ordering. These findings describe the documents checked on October 25, 2026.

How do you check pool pump voltage against electrical plans?

Compare the pump requirements with the electrical panel and controller tables. Here, the pump note specified 208 volts while the supply was 480 volts. The designer needs to confirm the correct motor and power arrangement before ordering.
